This 70 minute DVD project, based on the
stories of the
people who lived and worked on the island of Ailsa Craig. This is the only place in the world where the granite for
curling stones is to be found. Written in the contemporary style of
Philip Glass, the piece has around 40 cues and has 8 themes based on the
island's characters, their hard lives and the ultimate loss of jobs as
modern quarrying methods took over. A moving,
yet humorous tribute to their hard work and sacrifice working and living
on "Paddy's Milestone"

A 12 minute score complements this
educational ecology-based trek through the hills of Perthshire. Directed by JT and KC and filmed by KC, the film tells the story of a water droplet travelling from cloud to ground and is told through the eyes of a small boy. It was shown as part of
"The
Enchanted Forest" event, held annually in Perthshire. A fairly traditional score. inspired by Niel Gow and Hamish McCunn, it
complements the lush Perthshire landscapes.
